While on vacation, my husband and I talked about how much we enjoy hiking and exploring the woods when we're away. Then we thought about why we don't do more of it when we we're at home. Life gets in the way...we get bogged down with all of the things we have to do instead of enjoying the things we like to do. So we decided that we'd make time to do a nature walk or visit a nearby trail after we're home. We're taking the time to see what's all around us...perhaps you should do the same!

Gretna Green, Scotland
Gretna Green is the first village in the south of Scotland over the border from England and is very popular as a place to be married. Historically, if someone in England wanted to get married without their parents consent, they crossed the border into Scotland and were married there where the rules weren't as strict.
The village is beautiful and is a lovely setting to be married in.

Co. Derry, Northern Ireland
A view of my Dad's home place
from the main road...
...and from their road
One from the yard looking down towards the road...
...and from the yard looking out towards the main road
...and no visit would be complete without a stop at the Duck...Sláinte!
